IronHide™ PSC is a patented permanent surface conversion technology designed to protect steel in extreme heat and corrosive environments.
No. IronHide™ is not a coating. It becomes part of the steel itself, rather than sitting on the surface like traditional coating systems.
Traditional coatings sit on the steel and often require greater thickness, typically 15–30 mils, while IronHide™ is approximately 2 mils thick and becomes part of the steel, eliminating the common issue of chipping and peeling.
IronHide™ is built for harsh service conditions, including highly corrosive H2S and CO2 environments as well as high-heat applications.
IronHide™ can be applied to equipment such as fire tubes, vessels, downhole tubing, casing, and other steel components exposed to severe conditions.
